The region is known worldwide for its high-quality beans grown at a high altitude, and due to this, they qualify as S.H.B. (Strictly Hard Beans). This rating is reserved for only the highest-grade coffee grown in Costa Rica. Its characteristics can be described as fine, non-sharp taste, highly acidic, and a subtle good body with chocolate notes. These beans are truly unique and can only be found in Tarrazu.
